Drugstore Makeup As Good As High End?

Hey Beauties!

Today we are talking about more affordable options - dupes! I'm going to show you some low-priced products which work the same as highly-priced high end makeup.

Firstly, I have some lip product dupes.
The first one is this Makeup Revolution lipstick in a shade Rebel With a Cause. The lipstick has a satin finish and it's a dark pinky purple shade - the same as Calvin Klein Delicious Luxury Creme Lipstick in Desire. Makeup Revolution has a tiny bit more purple in it so CK one looks a little bit more rosy, but you cannot really tell once it's on the lips. And the Makeup Revolution one is only 1£! (It is also said to be a dupe for MAC lipstick in the shade Rebel (how obvious), but I don't have this one, so I can't insert swatches). CK Lipstick is 8£ on Amazon.co.uk

Other lip product dupe is strickly a colour dupe. Catrice Colour Infusion Longlasting Lipstain in the shade Red & The City is a dupe for Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Balm in the shade Roomiest Rose (6). These are burgundy reds. Althouth colours are veery similar, formulas are not. Catrice lip product is a lipstain, which makes it more matte and longlasting, but it's quite drying on the lips. I don't recommend this if you have chapped or sensitive lips and the Clinique is actually moisturizing itself as it's a balm, however, it's quite pricy, so if you want to save some money you can check out the Catrice one. Catrice Longlasting Lipstain: 2£. Clinique Chubby Stick: 17£. (The one in the photo is a mini one).

The next dupe is 10 times cheaper than the high end product! That's a price difference! It's E.L.F. Tinted Moisturizer and it's a dupe for Artistry Tinted Moisturizer. These have similar formulas, the Artistry one is a tiny bit lighter on the skin but they both look the same applied. E.L.F. Tinted Moisturizer in the shade Ivory is similar to Artistry Tinted Moisturizer in Tint 2. E.L.F. Tinted Moisturizer: 3$ (around 2£). Artistry Tinted Moisturizer: 20£.

The last dupe is Makeup Revolution Iconic 1 for Urban Decay Naked palette. Makeup Revolution actually does more dupes (they have ones for UD Naked 2 and Naked 3 as well), where they make identical shades! The best thing about this is that the quality is the same as well! Makeup Revolution eyeshadows wear very nicely and they're longlasting. I'm sorry, but I don't have UD Naked anymore, so I can't insert picture as I don't want to use anyone elses, but here a link for the palette: http://www.urbandecay.co.uk/naked/naked-palettes/naked-palette. Makeup Revolution Iconic 1: 4£. Urban Decay Naked palette: 38£.

That's it for todays post. I really recommend trying these products if you wanted to get the more expensive option, but couldn't afford it! Please comment down below if you have anything to say! Maybe you have found your own dupes? Share them with everyone!

Review: e.l.f. Pressed Powder

Hello!

This is my first review post on one product. I'll tell you a little bit about the product, its pros and cons and whether I'd recommend it. So I'm going to be reviewing e.l.f. Pressed Powder. I've had it for quite a long time, that's why I used up quite a lot of it. I'm trying to use it up, but I don't really reach for it very often. I have it in a shade Sand, which is my summer shade or I can use it lightely in winter, but I would usually go for Porcelain. Price: 3$

Pros: It's not very sheer, has a medium coverage and staying power is okay. The texture is quite butter-y and smooth.

Cons: Looks a little bit cake-y and unnatural. In addition, there is a HUGE fallout when you're picking it up with a brush. It's not finely mild. Colour selection is not big (5 shades available).

Overall, it's very affordable powder, but I wouldn't really recommend it. There are better powders for this price or a tiny bit more (such as Rimmel Stay Matte), especially bearing in mind the fallout, which makes you use the product a lot quicker.

So this is just my opinion as I wouldn't buy this powder again, but comment down below if you've tried this powder and tell everyone what you think!

Bye!

Hair Miracles

Hello everyone!

Today I decided to show you some of my favourite hair serums. So I'll tell you a little bit about each of them and maybe you'd be interested in trying them out!

So the first serum is this REVIline Strengthening Serum. As you can see I've almost used up all of it. I actually bought this at my hair salon so I'm not sure if you can get it everywhere, but there are online shops where you can order it such as http://www.reviline.co.uk/hair-care/207-revigloss-80ml.html. But this is one of the best hair products EVER. This particulary helps for split ends. It says on the packaging that it's a crystal liquid and a revitalizing product for dry and brittle hair, preventing split ends. Overall, it really makes my hair look healthier and I feel like it helps my hair for long-term. Price: 9£ for 80ml.
The packaging is quite cheap as the lid already broke, but the product kind of smells like a caramel pie haha. However, it doesn't leave that scent on your hair.

The next one is this CHI hair serum. I only ordered this mini one to try out, but I really like it now so I'll probably buy the full size soon (or I'll try other CHI hair serums). It doesn't help with split ends as much as the Reviline one, but it makes your hair healthy looking as well. It's hard to explain and it might sound like a nonsense, but I feel like this makes my hair look thicker haha. This is a little pricier than the REVIline one, might be because CHI is a well known brand. It smells exactly like a hair serum should smell haha (very nice, but not natural scent). Costs about 12£ for 60ml.

Both of them help with both dry or tangly hair, but each is better at one thing if that makes sense haha. But I'd recommend the REVIline one for dry and prone to split ends hair and CHI serum for tangly hair owners, if you want them to be smoother.

So I really hope this post helped someone. If I forgot to mention something and you have any questions about hair serums or anything in general, feel free to ask in the comments!

See you!

Disappointing Products

Hello again!

We talked about the good stuff the last time and now I'm here with some products which I would NOT recommend. These are disappointing products or products I regret buying, just because they didn't work as I hoped they would or they were just not good at all:(. Three out of four products are E.L.F., but don't think that I don't like E.L.F. as a brand because I love a lot of their products! I've tried many so these are just the ones which didn't work for me. Hope you enjoy!

The first one is E.L.F. Smudge Pot. I have it in the shade Ain't That Sweet, which is a metalic-y baby pink with tiny glitters. I wanted to get this for such a long time, and it's hard to get E.L.F. in Europe, but I was really disappointed with it. It doesn't apply smoothly and sometimes comes in big chunks, it also 'disappears' after a while. Price: 3$

The next E.L.F. product is a lipstick from their 1$ line. I have it in the shade Classy. I'm not sure if mine is bad or old, but if all of them are like this, they are impossible to use. It's very soft so loses its shape and breaks every time I try to apply it (you can see in the photo how messy it has become). I also don't like the colour (very fake looking), but that's not really the biggest problem as the lipstick sets into your lines. The good thing is that it's creamy, but like I said it's almost impossible to use so I don't recommend it. Price: 3$.

And the last E.L.F. product is their Nourshing Cuticle Pen. It says it has avocado and almond oils and vitamins, but it does NOTHING. It literally does nothing to your cuticles so definitely not worth the 1$.

Finally, I didn't like this lipstick from Make Up Academy in the shade Totally Nude. This is one of their matte lipsticks and it's not comfortable on the lips. Of course, it's very affordable, but it dries your lips a little bit and doesn't look smooth on them (honestly it looks a little bit nasty), so I recommend investing a few pounds more to get a nice lipstick. Price: 1£.

That's it for my disappointing products. Please leave any requests or questions down below!

See you!

Everyday Makeup Routine

Hi Beauty Lovers!

Today I will talk about products which I use everyday if I am going somewhere. I usually don't have much time in the morning to get ready, but I always sacrifice some time to do my makeup haha. You'll have already seen some of these products, but I use them because they're sooo good. So my makeup is quite minimalistic and neutral and this is what I do almost every morning:

I don't use primer everyday, I sometimes apply it if I know that I will get home late in the evening.

So the first product I use on my face is Bourjois 123 Perfect CC cream in 31 ivory. I like this one because it feels very light on my face, hydrates it and stays really well on my skin.
I apply it with my Real Techniques Sculpting Brush.

Next, I use my Catrice Camouflage Cream (10 ivory), which I mentioned in my 2015 Finds post, to cover up any blemishes I have that day.

For my undereyes I mostly use Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in Fair (1). It has medium to high coverage, so it covers up my dark circles. (You can see it's picture here in my last blog post, but the name is off so that's why I didn't insert a picture here).
I blend out both concealers with a sponge, because I find that this gives me more coverage and makes my face more flawless.

After that, I set my face with Rimmel Stay Matte powder in Tranparent. I usually set my undereyes with it as well because I don't have a lot of time to use different products haha. I love it because it mattifies and sets your makeup. I have this in Transparent. The only drawback is that it doesn't stay all day (still stays quite a long time), but for the price this is irreplacable. I use my Real Techniques Blush Brush (prefer it to powder brush because it's easier to apply targeted areas with this one).

If I feel like it I use any of my bronzers, blushes or highligters, but nothing in particular.
I'll use my eyebrow pencil now because I feel more comfortable with my eyebrows done haha. Even though I don't use much product on them and don't change their shape it's still very important. I use this Make Up Academy eyebrow pencil in a shade Brunette. This colour is very warm and not ashy at all. This is only 1£ and you can get it on Superdrug or on Make Up Academy website. I actually bought this one then I was travelling because I needed to get any brow pencil but I really like it! The brush on the end is not very handy as the quality is not good at all and I have to say that it's not as waxy as most brow pencils are, so it might not stay as long, but after I got used to its creaminess I really like it, it just depends what you prefer.

Next, I will sometimes use eyeliner, it depends on my mood and if I do, I will use it on my tight line and I'll use L'oreal Color Riche Le Khol eyeliner in Midnight Black (101). Be careful as this might transfer to your lower lashline if you blink too much right after you apply it. It's very black and wears nicely, so I'd recommend it. (The name is kind of off as on most of my makeup, at least I know I really use them haha).

If I don't use eyeliner and I want to be a little bit more colourful I'll use eyeshadow, which most often for everyday look is Calvin Klein Tempting Glimmer eyeshadow in Cashmere Plum as it is so easy and quick to use. I use this very lighly and apply it with my finger just for a hint of colour. I love this colour, because it compliments my blue eyes very well. It's a soft plumy purple colour. These eyeshadows stay very well on your eyes and you can get it from fragrancedirect.co.uk for only 3.50£!

After that, I'll apply mascara. Mostly, I use my Gosh Catchy Eyes (Provocateur) mascara, but I'll use any mascara depending on the look that I am going for. This is one of the best mascaras I've tried and I've repurchased it several times already. This is best for lengthening and it really makes your lashes reach the sky! It has a rubber applicator.

Lastly, I apply some kind of lip product. Sometimes it's just a lip balm and sometimes it's a dark purple - it all depends on my mood, but lately I've been using my Maybelline Color Sensational lipstick in Galactic Mauve. This is quite sheer so I like it for a hint of colour. Be aware that this colour has glitters in it, which I'm personally not a fan of, but they don't show very much on the lips. This has glossy/satin finish. (I don't use this one when I use my CK eyeshadow because the colours are too similar).

Left to right: MUA eyebrow pencil in Brunette, L'oreal eyeliner in Midnight Black, CK eyeshadow in Cashmere Plum, Maybelline lipstick in Galactic Mauve.
That's my everyday makeup routine. My everyday makeup is simple and quite natural, but I hope you enjoyed! What are the products you use everyday? I'd love to know!

Have a nice day/morning/evening, wherever you are!

Shining Bright Like a Diamond

Hello Beauties!

Firstly, I'm so sorry that I haven't posted for a few days! I didn't have Internet for a few days and I knew that I won't have Internet on those days and I tried to make my blog posts upload automatically but that didn't work:(. So I'm really sorry and I hope you'll enjoy my new posts!

So I just randomly decided to write a post about toothpaste haha. I was brushing my teeth and I reeeally like this toothpaste so I thought I would share that with you and maybe help someone out.

Soo, if you're looking for a nice whitening toothpaste I recommend you cheching out R.O.C.S. Sensation Whitening toothpaste which has active granules in it. It gives very fresh feeling after and it whitens your teeth soo well. I usually use it only one time per day as I like to switch my toothpastes and use different one the other time and I also didn't want to use whitening toothpaste too much as they say it can be bad for your teeth, but despite not using it all the time I saw a difference in few days as my teeth became whiter!! It says on the box that you can see results in 1 week use and I definitely agree (or you can see them even faster)!

This toothpaste is without fluoride and I can't say if it's really good or bad. I believe, you should switch between fluoride free and toothpastes with fluoride to get enough fluoride but not too much, but that's just my opinion.

So I really think that R.O.C.S. products are worth trying out! (I'm not sure if someone might think that this post is sponsored but it's not haha)

See you soon!
